Paula Horta Hugues is from Spain, although she's  lived pretty much everywhere except there! She has a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Edinburgh and completed her MRes in Systems & Synthetic Biology at Imperial College London in 2022. 

Paula is now completing her PhD in Dr Mandeep Ghuman and Dr Tanya Shaw’s labs on oral fibroblasts extracellular vesicles and their potential in skin wound healing. Her research interests are mainly in synthetic biology and molecular biology.
