Biography
Miryam is a BRC-funded PhD student working on polygenic stratification of psychiatric disorders, supervised by Dr Evangelos Vassos and Professor Cathryn Lewis. She joined King’s College London as a PhD student in October 2023 after becoming acquainted with the University as an exchange student for her MSc dissertation.
Prior to her PhD, she completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Reichman University (IDC, Herzlya) with Honours, and an MSc in Neuroscience from Bordeaux University.

Led by Professor Cathryn Lewis, it is a cross-school unit, comprising 20 researchers in the Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry Centre and in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. Our aims are to develop and apply statistical methods to identify and characterise the genetic component to common, complex disorders.
