Michelle Sleeth is the Head of Operations for the Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU). Michelle graduated from the University of Surrey in Nutrition and Dietetics. She then moved to the Section of Investigative Medicine at Imperial College London to complete her PhD and Post-doc. Michelle has worked in academic units across Imperial College London, Queen Mary University of London and King’s College London, supporting investigators to conduct high-quality clinical research in therapeutic areas including diabetes, obesity, perinatal health and cancer. One of the largest trials she has managed is the International Breast cancer Intervention Study II (IBIS-II), a large international phase III trial investigating Tamoxifen and Anastrozole. After working in the CPTU for four years, Michelle became Head of Operations for the CPTU Unit in 2020. She provides strategic and operational leadership to the CPTU core team funded by Cancer Research UK.
