Biography

Michele Harris-Tafri is a Communications Manager at the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London where she job shares the role with Nick Sarson.

Together they manage the ARC’s communications channels including the newsletter, blog, social media and website. They produce marketing material, the annual report to the NIHR and organise events, as well as supporting and advising researchers on effective communications.

They also manage communications for King’s Improvement Science a research programme which uses improvement and implementation science to improve care and services across King’s Health Partners NHS Trusts.

Michele previously worked at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust for eight years leading on internal communications including writing and editing the staff newsletter, intranet news, staff features for the community magazine ‘The GiST’, managing campaigns and organising events.

Prior to the NHS her roles were in the not-for-profit sector including Mencap, Crimestoppers and the Consumers’ Association where she worked with policy teams to promote campaigns to the media. Michele has a PG Dip in public relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
