Biography
Professor Mark French is the Assistant Principal (Campus Futures) at King’s College London and Professor of Engineering. He has responsibility within two strategic university projects:
- The King’s Interdisciplinary Science project is investing in the infrastructure and staff to build critical mass in both our core discipline and interdisciplinary sciences.
- The Campus Futures project is developing and implementing a vision for King's campuses, incorporating both our ways of working and the physical development and enhancement of our places and buildings.
Prior to this he was the Executive Dean and Vice-Dean (Academic Planning) in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES).
Research Interests
Professor Mark French's research interests include:
- Mathematical Systems Theory
- Adaptive and Robust Control
- Iterative Learning Control
- Applications to Power Electronics, Atomic Force Microscopy, Functional Electrical Stimulation for Stroke Rehabilitation
