What are your happiest memories of your time at King’s?
Some of my happiest memories at King’s were during the occasional late nights on campus. I loved working on important group projects in the Bush House computer labs, performing improv shows in the Anatomy Museum, and supporting startups at the Entrepreneurship Institute. These experiences, though occasionally demanding, helped me form lasting friendships and explore my interests beyond the classroom.
How have you stayed connected to King’s since graduating?
Since graduating, I have stayed connected to King’s through various activities and relationships. I have returned to judge hackathons and mentor current students, as a way to give back and foster a strong sense of community. My friendships and professional relationships with other King’s alumni have also been invaluable, providing support, mentorship, and even sponsorship. I was even fortunate to meet my current co-founder and business partner, a fellow King’s alum, during an internship at the Entrepreneurship Institute after my first year, demonstrating the lasting impact of my time at King’s.
Why is your alumni network important to you?
The alumni network is important to me because it connects me with individuals who have shared the same transformative experiences at our alma mater, fostering a unique bond and a sense of community. Professionally, it opens doors to invaluable networking opportunities, collaborations, and continuous learning, significantly contributing to my career growth.
Personally, it provides a support system of mentors and peers who offer guidance and encouragement. Additionally, it allows me to give back by supporting current students and strengthening our institution, which fills me with pride and a sense of purpose. Overall, the alumni network is a crucial part of both my personal and professional life.
What advice would you give for success in life at King’s?
Lean into discomfort and constantly challenge yourself. For example, meet new people and expand your network, even if it feels daunting, engage in new extracurricular activities, and apply for jobs that seem out of reach—you won't regret taking these chances. These experiences will be invaluable after graduation when it is often harder to take risks. Being able to navigate and thrive in new environments is immensely rewarding and a skill you will greatly benefit from.
Has the ability to interact effectively with people from other cultures and backgrounds been important in your life?
Absolutely, it has been essential. One of the remarkable aspects of King’s and living in London is the incredible diversity—of nationalities, perspectives, and life experiences. Connecting with people from different cultures and truly listening to them has been crucial not only for my career success but also for my personal growth. Engaging with this diversity has broadened my understanding, enhanced my empathy, and enriched my life in countless ways.
