Biography
Marcus Messer is a PhD student in the Department of Informatics. He obtained his MSci in Computer Science from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Marcus’ research focuses on the application of machine learning, particularly natural language processing, to automate the grading and feedback of code quality within student assignments.
Outside of his research, Marcus is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at King’s College London, teaching various courses across all years of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
Prior to his PhD, Marcus worked as a full-stack software engineer within a data analytics company and was responsible for various projects, including data ingestion, and web-based data visualization.
