Biography
Magali obtained her PhD cell biology and microbiology from Aix-Marseille-Université, France. During post-doctoral studies at University of California, San Diego she developed interests in signalling pathways in macrophages in response to infection. She was then recruited back to France as a tenured research scientist by CNRS, where her research focused on the molecular basis of the host response to bacteral toxins in order to understand the pathogenesis of invasive human infections. In 2018, she joined Prof Lawrence's team at KCL to develop a project exploring the role of autophagy and innate immune signalling in macrophages and dendritic cells.
