Lucia completed her PhD on the regulation of oncogenic signalling pathways in colorectal cancer, before joining the Francis Crick Institute and KCL for postdoctoral research. There, she used high-dimensional spatial approaches to uncover how specific immune cell populations shape the response to immunotherapy and the development of gut-related autoimmune disease, publishing her findings in renowned journals.Lucia now leads the Spatial Biology Facility at the Cancer Centre, where she continues to apply and develop spatial technologies in collaboration with research groups tackling a wide range of biological questions, with a particular focus on spatial transcriptomic approaches.
