Biography

Lorraine holds a B.A. Hons. in French with subsidiary English, from the University of Exeter, a P.G.C.E. in Modern Languages from the Institute of Education, and an M.A. in English from the University of Warwick.

Further qualifications include a University of Cambridge R.S.A. Cert. in T.E.F.L. and a D.E.L.T.A. from the British Study Centre, School of English, Oxford.

She has many years of teaching experience, working as an E.F.L. / E.S.O.L. Lecturer, Academic English and I.E.L.T.S. Tutor and Literacy Tutor. Lorraine has run her own small tutoring business, taught in outreach, an H.E. college, an international school, a French ‘college’, Adult Learning and the Universite de Haute Bretagne, Rennes.

Her current professional interests include developing the confidence and fluency of students’ spoken English.

In her free time, Lorraine enjoys outdoor swimming, long distance walking, reading fiction and singing in a choir.
