Senior Lecturer in Professional Legal Education

Biography

Lisa Spirakes is a Senior Lecturer in Professional Legal Education at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London.  She originally studied law at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and is a member of the California Bar.  After practicing as an employment discrimination attorney in San Francisco, Lisa moved to London and completed an LLM in Human Rights and Public law at University College London.  She then worked for Camden Citizens Advice for several years before taking up a teaching position at BPP.  Over the years, she taught land law on the LLB, GDL, LLM and PGDL.  After several years at BPP, Lisa moved to University of East London where she was a lecturer and supervising solicitor in UEL’s Legal Advice Centre.  Lisa joined the PLI team at King’s in September 2023 and will be teaching on the MSc in Law & Professional Practice.
