Biography
Laura is a senior leader in the NHS, having worked in various operational and healthcare improvement roles since she joined the NHS as a graduate trainee in 2009.
Prior to that Laura worked in editorial at a large educational publishing house in Berlin. From late 2016 Laura was the first non-clinician to volunteer long-term with the King's Sierra Leone Partnership based at Connaught Hospital in Freetown, where she worked alongside Sierra Leonean partners to implement a new health records system and introduce Quality Improvement practices. Laura has stayed engaged with KGHP’s work since her return from Freetown, working as KGHP’s NHS engagement lead alongside her NHS work in King’s Health Partners & South London 2018-2020 and more recently Laura has started volunteering with the King’s Zambia Partnership.
Laura currently works as Director for National programmes for the 15 Academic Health Science Networks in England and is a trustee of Shepherd’s Bush Families Project and Children’s Centre in West London.
