Biography

Laura is the Project Manager for One King’s Impact and the Afe Babalola Centre for Transnational Education, while also supporting service projects and governance across the International, Engagement and Service (IES) directorate.

Laura joined King’s in 2023 as the Student Support Manager in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences. In this role, Laura designed and managed a support system to ensure inclusive and accessible wellbeing support for students and staff. She also collaborated across the college as Faculty Disability Liaison and Designated Safeguarding Officer, providing training, advice, and guidance to student-facing staff and students. Laura led strategic initiatives, such as embedding good practices from the Student Minds’ University Mental Health Charter.

Laura has worked in Higher Education Institutions since 2016, with prior experience in the voluntary sector. She has led various projects, including the implementation of a new CRM and the creation of a new referral pathway for central student services. Laura is passionate about strengthening relationships to deliver inclusive projects and supporting staff and student wellbeing. Her extensive experience in higher education and the voluntary sector, combined with her expertise in student support and mental health, enables her to lead projects that promote equity, foster wellbeing, and drive positive outcomes. She holds a BSc in Reflective Therapeutic Practice, a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, and is a member of the Association for Project Managers. Laura is also a qualified Counsellor and Mental Health First Aider.
