Biography

Kim joined King’s College London as a Research Fellow in Feb 2021. along with her role in  doing methodology research, she also provides consultation to the Clinical Trial teams and students.

Kim was a Lecturer in Medical Statistics at the PCTU, Queen Mary University of London from Feb 2020- Jan 2021. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Associate at the MRC Biostatistics Unit, University of Cambridge until Jan 2020.

She obtained PhD in Statistics from the University of Southampton following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Mathematics with Actuarial Science at the same university.

Kim covered lectures and tutorials for both the statistical and medical statistics modules in all her previous roles.

 

Research Interests:

  • Kim's research focuses on methodology for clinical trial statistics. The goals of her research includes improving the efficiency of trial conduct and the quality of trial data.

  • Her research interests are in innovative trial approaches. These includes adaptive designs, platform trials that allow adding arms, methods for subgroups such as stratified medicine and the Personalised Randomized Controlled Trial.

    • Missing data and measurement error problems
    • Mediation analysis
    • Stepped wedge cluster randomised trials
