Biography
Kate is a postgraduate researcher in the Department of Physics, King’s College London, working on Direct Dark Matter Detection with the LUX-ZEPLIN experiment.
She completed her integrated masters degree at the University of York, where her project involved simulations of the ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer using Geant4 to study key astrophysical reactions. During her degree, she completed a year in industry with the ISIS Crystallography group, working on calculating and visualising crystal orientations from Bragg dips in the neutron transmission data from IMAT.
