Biography
John Druce is a Senior Research Associate in the Centre for Science & Security Studies (CSSS). He has worked in the field of proliferation networks and sanctions for at least 20 years, and his background in mechanical engineering, procurement, information systems, and support to research and production of military equipment has been highly beneficial.
He initially joined the Project Alpha Team at King’s College London following many years’ experience in UK government in the area of proliferation and export control, providing support to UK policies and the UK’s input to relevant UNSCR’s, EU Regulations and associated sanctions. For two years (2018/19), he worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna before returning to rejoin the team at King’s College London.
He has a First Class Honours BSc Degree with the Open University.

- Proliferation and procurement networks, related logistics and finance.
- Non-state proliferation activity.
- Proliferation methodologies (procurement, logistics, finance).
- The implementation of sanctions relating to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Iran, including United Nations Security Council Resolutions and unilateral sanctions.
