Biography

My background is in psychology, and I’ve worked on research projects in various clinical and academic settings. Most recently, I’ve been working on the Together Study, a randomised controlled trial (RCT) which evaluates the efficacy of the 'Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities' (SFSC) parenting programme developed by the Race Equality Foundation (REF). The SFSC intervention aims to improve familial and community relations and to prevent societal inequality, violence and mental illness. Having an interest in formative experience and improving health, I was drawn to working at the Centre for Adherence Research and Education and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to research that explores factors which may improve adherence and outcomes for children and families with experience of Growth Hormone Disorder. The study is due to start recruiting soon and I’m looking forward to working with families affected by Growth Hormone Disorder and discovering if a new weekly growth hormone treatment helps children and their caregivers get the most out of their treatment protocol.
