Biography
Hannah Proudfoot joined the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience as a researcher on the REFUEL-MS project in Health Psychology in November 2022. Before this role, Hannah worked as a Practitioner Psychologist in a Staff Psychological Wellbeing Service at Northampton General Hospital, where she provided one-to-one and group support for staff members experiencing difficulties at home and in the workplace. Hannah obtained her Stage 2 Qualification in Health Psychology with NHS Education for Scotland and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Her main interests lie in understanding the biopsychosocial factors related to long-term conditions (LTCs) and co-producing psychological interventions for the management of LTCs. Hannah has contributed to research into inflammatory bowel disease; COVID-19; and smoking behaviour and harm-reduction.
