Biography
Dr Giorgio Napolitani is Senior Lecturer in Immuno-haemato-oncology, and his lab focuses on the characterization of the immune system in the context of clonal haematopoiesis and myeloid malignancies. Dr Napolitani is a human immunologist with extensive experience in the functional and phenotypic analysis of innate and adaptive immune cells, and in the characterization of immune responses in the context of infection (including human challenge trials), vaccination and cancer. Before joining King’s College in 2021, Giorgio worked at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) in Bellinzona (Switzerland), and at the MRC Human Immunology Unit at the University of Oxford.
