I am a consultant nephrologist and acute physician at Whipps cross hospital. I am also the chair of the London kidney network Health Equity group and the joint senior author of the 2018 kidney research UK health inequalities report. My passion in life and medicine is identifying why there are inequalities in kidney care across the entire patient pathway and helping to make sustainable changes to address this critically important issue. I have researched the impact of ethnicity and CKD in east London for the last 15 years and have worked internationally in a variety of health care settings.  We are currently updating the national inequalities report for kidney research UK to further inform the wider renal community about the important next steps to reduce inequalities in kidney care.
