Dr Francesca Pia Vantaggiato
Senior Lecturer in Public Policy
Biography
Dr Francesca Pia Vantaggiato is Senior Lecturer in Public Policy. She studies collective action problems and bureaucratic politics, particularly in multilevel governance settings. She is particularly interested in environmental policy, energy policy, and any setting where decisions are made about building (or not building) infrastructure.
Dr Vantaggiato joined the department in January 2020. Previously, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Environmental Policy and Behavior at the University of California, Davis. She obtained her PhD in Political Science from the University of East Anglia. Before her doctoral studies, she worked as research assistant at the Florence School of Regulation at the European University Institute (2011-2014) and at the Centre for Competition Policy of the University of East Anglia (2013-2014).
