The Centre for British Democracy is interested in the study of government and politics in the United Kingdom from an historical, political science, political theory and constitutional perspective. It is concerned with the institutions and mechanisms of politics, as well as the social environment in which they operate and interact.
The centre was previously known as the Centre for British Politics and Government but underwent a name change and transformation in 2024 to better reflect the themes that the centre's members contribute to.
