Biography
Fiona Simpson is currently undertaking her PhD under the supervision of Dr Laura Lander in the department of Engineering at King’s College London.
Fiona’s research is focused on creating cathode materials for non-aqueous aluminium-ion batteries, incorporating investigations into their recyclability and potential techno-economic impact. Prior to this, Fiona obtained her MChem degree from the University of St Andrews in 2023, where her experience researching low-cost cathode materials for her final year project cemented her desire to commit her career to a sustainable energy future with the hope of contributing to improving the prospects of coming generations and towards a net-zero reality.
