Biography

Eleonora Muzzupappa is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Banking and Finance and Director of the MSc Finance (Asset Pricing) Programme at King’s Business School, King’s College London. Her research interests focus on banking and finance regulation, wage distribution and inequality in the financial industry, and the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility practices on corporate financial structures. In terms of regulation, she investigates how international financial regulation affects global economic stability, exploring the dynamics of increasingly interconnected financial markets. Her work particularly examines how banking regulations influence competition within the banking sector, analysing how different regulatory approaches can either foster or hinder competition, with significant implications for the real economy. Additionally, she studies the role of institutional environments in shaping CEO compensation and their impact on income inequality. Finally, she explores the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility on managers’ decisions regarding cash and leverage policies.
