Biography
David’s PhD focuses on workplace stress. Emphasising the malleability of the stress concept, his research attends to how stress is variously conceptualised, deployed, and managed – by both individuals and the organisations for which they work. Employing an ethnographic approach, his research aims to explore both the relations between these diverse conceptualisations and deployments, and their consequences and productive effects.
Prior to starting his PhD, David completed his BA (with First Class Honours) in Politics, Philosophy and History at Birkbeck College in 2016, and his MRes (with Distinction) in Politics at Birkbeck College in 2019.
