Biography
Daniela Horta (she/her) is a political scientist with a Master's Degree in Public Policy: Development and Governance from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and the University of York in the United Kingdom (Erasmus Mundus MAPP), and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Additionally, she holds a Master’s Lv.I in Gender Studies and Politics at Roma Tre, Italy; and higher education degrees and courses in Design and Evaluation of Social Projects (FLACSO), Planning for Development with Gender Perspectives (ECLAC), and Analysis and Strategies for Gender Responsive Budgeting (UN Women). All of these have been possible due to research and study grants during her time pursuing her undergraduate, master's, and doctorate degrees (IPRE DINV, EMJMD, and ANID).
During her undergraduate studies, Daniela was a teaching assistant for courses including "Comparative Foreign Policy," "International Relations since 1815," "Epistemology and Design of Research in Political Science," and "Identity, Nationality, and Citizenship". Furthermore, she has worked in the past ten years doing research and project implementation in international institutions such as FLACSO, UN Women, Derechos Digitales, Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice and UN ECLAC.
Currently, she is a PhD researcher in International Political Economy affiliated with the King's Institute for Artificial Intelligence. Her current research centres on the intricate interplay between international political economy, women’s labour, and artificial intelligence from a gender perspective. Additionally, she assists as the representative of the EIS 2023/2024 cohort.
