Biography
Daniel is a medical doctor and researcher working at the intersection of clinical practice and translational mental health research. His work focuses on improving treatments for neuropsychiatric conditions through novel pharmacological approaches (including emerging therapeutics such as cannabinoids) and neurotechnology-based interventions.
He joined King’s in 2018 and has worked across several research groups, including the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN)’s Researching Emotional Disorders and Development (REDD) lab; the Service User and Carer Participation theme of the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre; the IoPPN’s LGBT+ Mental Health research group; and, from 2025, the Translational Neuroscience and Psychiatry Research Group. He has also previously worked at the University of Oxford’s Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (OxCADAT).
Daniel holds a BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and a medical degree from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
