Clara is a Research Associate in the Tree lab studying the immune system of individuals with extremely early-onset T1D (EXE-T1D) as an example of a very aggressive form of autoimmunity. Her work is a continuation of her PhD project, and her aim is to try to understand the immune mechanisms and pathways leading to very rapid β-cell loss in these individuals.
