Biography

CJ Nwasike is a member of the Workforce Panel of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health & Social Care Workforce, King's College London.

CJ is a newly qualified mental health nurse, having worked for the NHS in various settings, including mental health triage, acute and community settings. He is passionate about patient safety, health inequalities, digital health and sustainable health. In his present role, he works as a staff nurse for Derbyshire NHS FT, as well as a Policy & Research Trainee at The King’s Fund, where he maintains clinical practice, while contributing to policy and research across various specialisms. CJ sits on the NIHR-Arc EM Community Voices Panel, with research themes around better health outcomes and service improvement. Previous roles include RCN International Committee member, focusing on global nursing policy research and advocacy (2022-2023). He has volunteered on the NuRS & AmRes Joint Steering Committee, conducting research into relationships between nurse retention and patient outcomes.
