Biography
Carlota Vazquez Gonzalez is a PhD student in the Department of Informatics. She obtained her MSc in Computer Science from King’s College London.
Carlota’s research focuses on non-verbal communication in videoconferencing tools, with the aim to improve empathetic understanding between users.
On top of her research, Carlota is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at King’s College London for several level 6 and 7 modules.
Moreover, in her time at the university she co-founded the 'The Women in Computer Science' Society at King’s. The society aims to champion and celebrate gender minorities within Computer Science, as well as challenge gender biases encountered within the field. She is currently an active member of The Women in Computer Science Committee.
