Biography
Dr Boyle trained in Reproductive Biology at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to her appointment at King's College London, she was a Senior Research Fellow in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at the UCL Institute for Women’s Health, where she led the Preterm Labour Research Group. Dr Boyle's research employs novel preclinical models of preterm birth to investigate the mechanisms underlying this condition and uses this information to develop innovative therapeutic approaches. She has a particular interest in mucosal immunity during pregnancy.
Research

MBRH integrated biofilm microfluidics and confocal microscope system
A Fluxion/Cell Microsystems BioFlux 1000z microfluidic system combined with a Zeiss LSM900 confocal microscope with Airyscan 2 for studying microbial biofilm growth.

The Multiscale Biofilm Research Hub (MBRH)
The Multiscale Biofilm Research Hub (MBRH) has been established to promote interdisciplinary interactions and focus microbial biofilm related research at King’s.
