Biography
Dr Alam joined King’s College London as a Lecturer in Semiconductor Education in January 2024. He is responsible for the re-development of the existing MSc Electronic Engineering curricula and designing of open online courses following the needs of semiconductor industry. He has a research focus on electronic devices and energy materials.
Before joining King’s he has worked at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and De Montfort University Leicester in various academic capacities. He is an alumnus of De Montfort University, Leicester. He received the Doctoral Training Alliance (DTA) Energy Fellowship coordinated by the University Alliance UK for his PhD at Sheffield Hallam University.
He is the Director of BRI Ltd, a charitable research organisation dealing with several multidisciplinary research topics. He also runs a Youtube channel named Instrugram to promote public understanding of science and technology in the developing world. He, over the years in the academia, has gained a thorough awareness of local and global funding landscape and aims to materialise this into transforming the academic practices revolving around semiconductor technologies.
