Biography
Arthur Laudrain is a Research Associate in Cyber Diplomacy at the Department of War Studies and holds a Doctorate in Cybersecurity from the University of Oxford.
Arthur is part of the Cyber Statecraft in an Age of Systemic Competition (CyCraft) project headed by Prof. Tim Stevens, and jointly funded by EPSRC and Dstl.
Arthur is involved with the European Initiative for Security Studies since 2017, and is part of the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network.
Before joining King’s, Arthur gained first-hand experience of international and cyber security in government, think-tanks, and the private sector.
He was Fellow of the European Cyber Conflict Research Initiative in 2022-2023, and was nominated in the Santander-CIDOB 30-under-30 Future Leaders list.
Arthur holds an MA from the Department of War Studies and an LLM from Leiden Law School.

Arthur’s research focuses on emerging technologies and international affairs, foreign interference in democratic processes, information manipulation, and cyber strategies and doctrines.
