Director of Clinical Strategy, Sierra Leone, King's Global Health Partnerships

Biography

Aneesah is volunteering in Sierra Leonne with KGHP for one year and leads a project supporting Nursing Education. She works clinically with nurses in Connaught Teaching Hospital, whilst supporting the Senior Nursing Management Team to sustain ongoing education frameworks. Aneesah also works at the Ministry of Health and Sanitation as an Education Advisor to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer of Sierra Leone, supporting national nursing education strategy.

Aneesah has a nursing background in A&E and ICU. With strong experience in strategic leadership, she was the Senior Nurse for Postgraduate Education at UCLH before volunteering for KGHP. Aneesah has worked in Health Education England (HEE) as a Clinical Lead for CapitalNurse and Clinical Advisor for the National Workforce Development Unit. After completing her MSc in Clinical Leadership in 2016 , she went on to complete her Darzi Fellowship PgCert in 2019, which focused on leading change in complex health systems.

When she is not working, Aneesah is often found on one of the many beautiful beaches in Sierra Leonne, listening to music.
