Biography

Dr Aditi Gupta is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Financial Management at King's Business School. She holds both an MSc and a PhD in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University.

Her research interests cover a broad spectrum of corporate governance topics, including executive compensation, pay disparities, board diversity, social capital, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Recently, her work has focused on corporate governance in China.

She has published articles in renowned academic journals such as Corporate Governance: An International Review, Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance, Accounting and Business Research, and the British Accounting Review. Additionally, she serves as an ad-hoc referee for several academic journals and is a member of the editorial board of Corporate Board: Roles, Duties & Composition.

Her teaching consistently received excellent evaluations and has been nominated multiple times for King’s Education Awards, as well as the KBS Doctoral Supervisory Excellence 2024 Award.

Previously, she served as the Deputy Programme Director for the MSc in ESG Management and BSc in Business Management. She currently serves as the Widening Participation Lead at King’s Business School, where she is committed to promoting access and inclusivity. She also manages the consulting project for the MSc in ESG management.
