Unit Director discusses risk with Tower Hamlets social workers
The Unit is the base for Making Research Count London, a research-dissemination initiative
Today Jill Manthorpe met with social workers from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to present Unit and other research on positive risk taking in practice. This was a well-attended webinar with active participation from the 30 social workers attending to consider and practice some of their skills in risk work.
Jill Manthorpe is Professor of Social Work at King's and Director of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce. Along with colleagues, Prof Manthorpe frequently engages with practitioners on the latest research as part of Making Research Count London, an initiative led by James Blewett and based out of the Unit.
