The National Student Survey is a key voice for students across the UK that have completed their course of study and can reflect on the whole university experience. It is a fantastic effort for the education team that includes all of our students, academic staff, teaching staff, postgraduate and graduate teaching assistants, professional services staff, and the School Leadership Team. The amazing ethos that we have established within this team means that we continually drive and achieve the highest levels in education. Congratulations to everyone!

Students rate Biomedical Engineering programme highest at King's and across London
The Biomedical Engineering BEng/MEng programme has achieved an overall average of 89% positive responses in the National Student Survey (NSS) for 2024.
The programme received the highest rating for any undergraduate programme at King’s College London for the second year in a row, an improvement from 87% in 2023.
As a result of this year’s survey, the programme was also ranked number one for Biomedical Engineering in London and number two in the UK within the Russell Group.
The School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences offers a three-year BEng and four-year MEng degree in Biomedical Engineering which trains students in healthcare technologies, positioning them at the forefront of these developments.
The NSS gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses, with every university in the UK taking part in the survey and every graduating student eligible to respond.
Scores are measured across seven themes, with the Biomedical Engineering Programme receiving a score of 90% or more in six of the seven themes. Particular highlights include such key categories as Academic Support (95%), Organisation & Management (92%) and Student Voice (91%).
Our School’s undergraduate programmes have developed over the years as a community of students and academics who listen to each, support each other and succeed together. Consistently being on top of all programmes at King’s in the NSS is a true testament to this community, and I congratulate all students and colleagues on their outstanding team effort.
