Shakespeare Centre London opens call for Early Career Fellowships
The Shakespeare Centre London is supporting two Early Career Fellowships for those who have recently completed a PhD in Shakespeare or any other aspect of Early Modern literature and culture studies, at either Shakespeare’s Globe or King’s College London.
These fellowships will provide support to Early Career Researchers (ECRs) whose PhDs have been examined and who are yet to move into their next role in academia, whether that be a teaching fellowship, post-doctoral position, or permanent post.
The fellowship aims to encourage and enable scholars to continue working on research projects in the field, which will in turn support their application for roles within academia.
Two successful applicants will receive:
- A 12-month King's affiliate email account, with associated access to libraries and online databases and e-resources
- £500 towards travel to conferences and/or archives and libraries
- The opportunity to deliver a paper at the end of the fellowship at either King's or the Globe
How to apply
To apply, please send the following to shakespeare@kcl.ac.uk by 17 February:
- A short CV - A short description of the ongoing research project the fellowship will support (max. 500 words).
- A breakdown of how you envisage spending the £500, which may include details of proposed conference attendance or archival trips etc.
Eligibility
