Sport has and continues to play such an important role in the life of King’s College London – enhancing the University’s reputation through sport and improving the experience of students while they study with us. The Hall of Fame is a wonderful event, enabling us to recognise the contributions that our distinguished alumni have made.

King's Most Esteemed Athletes Inducted into King's Sports Hall of Fame
King’s College London Alumni Association & King’s Sport & Wellness partnered once again to host the second King’s Sport Hall of Fame ceremony.
The Sport Hall of Fame recognises the sporting excellence of those who have qualified from King’s or its constituent Colleges. So far over 160 people have been identified who have represented their country.
Every two years, those honoured will be inducted under three categories.
- Significant sporting achievement: Alumni or students who have achieved national or international recognition having represented their country in competitive sport and have brought credit to King’s and its alumni by having done so. These will be both current and historical.
- Commitment to sport: Staff, alumni or students who have brought sustained enthusiasm and commitment to King’s sport which has enabled their sport(s) to survive and thrive.
- Sporting clubs: Clubs which have nurtured their sport, achieved national prominence and spawned multiple internationals (or persons fulfilling criteria for admission into the Hall of Fame.
On Thursday 16 May 2024, students, alumni, staff and honoured guests attended the Great Hall for a reception, hosted by King’s Alumna & Gold Olympic Medallist Dame Katherine Grainger, where a further 14 individuals were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
