Two Unit studies were presented and discussed at yesterday's NIHR research webinar on ‘How to improve adult social care for seldom-heard groups’. Chaired by Candace Imison, NIHR Deputy Director for Dissemination and Knowledge Mobilisation, the event welcomed over 270 attendees to hear Monica Leverton share findings from The role of Dementia Champions in the homecare sector and Jess Harris discussing findings from Safeguarding for people experiencing homelessness and self-neglect. Both projects were funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research.

Audience feedback included:

“I had competing events this lunch time and am so glad I chose this! Really excellent presentations, succinct with enough detail to provoke a desire to look further outside of the session a rare combination, a very worthwhile experience.”

“All three presentations were exemplary. Thank you.”

Short animations of both study findings are available to watch: Homelessness & Safeguarding and Dementia Champions

A recording of this event, with slides, will be released by NIHR shortly (whereupon we will update this page).
