Addressing multiple exclusion homelessness in social work education
Report launch was part of Social Work Week 2024
Around 130 participants joined an HSCWRU Homelessness series webinar on 18 March, as part of Social Work England Social Work Week 2024, for the launch of an HSCWRU report on Addressing multiple exclusion homelessness in social work education in England. This NIHR SSCR-funded project has produced a snapshot of gaps, innovative practice and resources to support social worker learning on multiple exclusion homelessness, to better prepare the profession for their role in addressing severe and multiple disadvantage.
The findings are explored in a Community Care article (19 March) by the Editor, Mithran Samuel.
Webinar participants shared their experiences and reflections, and thanked the authors and speakers, Karl Mason and Jess Harris:
‘Thank you so much, really made me think about our course … I will be sharing what I have heard with colleagues’
‘A good report with a lot of helpful suggestions and links to explore for our students’
