What attracted you to the BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies programme at King's?
I was initially drawn to the English language and aspired to become a nurse. However, the cost of attending the international school in Nanjing was prohibitive. This programme allowed me to study in London for one year to gain a deeper understanding of nursing in different countries.
How did you find the experience?
I found the course both helpful and interesting. I gained valuable insights into the nursing field and had the opportunity to immerse myself in British culture and university life.
What was the best thing about your time on the programme?
I had the opportunity to study in a hospital setting, gaining insight into the experiences of nursing professionals from diverse backgrounds.
What were your plans when you graduated, have you achieved them?
My plan was to work in an NHS practice. Now I am working as a phlebotomist in a GP practice.
What impact has this programme had on your life and career?
My life has changed. I am currently exploring career opportunities in the UK, as I believe that the professional development opportunities available here will enable me to achieve my full potential.
What would you say to students from Nanjing who are thinking about studying at King's?
For some students in Nanjing, King's could be the ideal educational opportunity. I would encourage them to pursue their aspirations and persevere in their studies.
