Water shortages are often cited as a direct cause of conflict—but is this really the case? Recent research suggests a far more complex picture, raising as many questions as it answers. Through case studies, including examples from the Middle East, this event will explore the intricacies behind so-called 'water wars.'

Using the Copenhagen School methodology as a prism to examine contested hydro relationships, this event will dissect the power dynamics at play. From this analysis, we will gain a clearer understanding of the multiple actors involved, offering a comprehensive overview of the forces shaping water-related conflicts.
