All King's students and staff are invited to pop into the Chaplaincy common room at Denmark Hill to learn a few skills and techniques for mending clothing - whether that's to patch a hole on a t-shirt or darn a sock. All materials will be provided, as well as hot drinks and vegan cake - just show up and bring what you'd like to mend!

Repairing clothing (rather than throwing away and replacing anything that has a hole in it) and opting for clothes that will last a long time reduces textile and water waste that's a byproduct of the fast-fashion industry, and is both a relaxing crafting activity and an useful life skill to have.
