Join us on 20 February (18:00–19:30) for the launch of ‘Student mental health in 2024: How the situation is changing for LGBTQ+ students‘, authored by Michael Sanders, TASO’s Academic Lead and Professor of Public Policy at King’s College London, and Julia Ellingwood, Research Associate at The Policy Institute, King’s College London. This report explores the rising incidence of mental health challenges among students, the specific disparities faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, and the implications for higher education providers. The report also summarises findings for other student groups over the last eight years.

The event will include:

  • Insights from the authors: Michael Sanders and Julia Ellingwood will present the key findings from their research.
  • Community perspectives: Yasmin Benoit, Asexual activist and visiting research fellow at King’s College London’s Policy Institute, will share her reflections on the report findings and their relevance for LGBTQ+ students.

This event is an opportunity to engage with the report’s findings and connect with colleagues and professionals committed to improving outcomes for students.
