A key player in the Gulf Region, Iran approaches its elections on Friday 18 June with great uncertainty. Sanctions, economic inequality, corruption, and major involvement in regional tensions have widened the gap between the theocratic regime and large segments of the population.

What are we to expect from these elections and who is most likely to win? What could happen domestically within Iran? And how will these elections shape relations between Iran and other key actors such as Israel, the EU, the US, and Britain, including what this means for its nuclear programme?

Our panel of experts will discuss these questions and more, providing critical insight on how these important elections will shape the future directions of this region.
