The Centre for International Policy Studies at City, University of London, CCADD, The Centre for Military Ethics at King’s College London and EuroISME are delighted to invite you to attend two talks with Professor George R Lucas. Professor Lucas is the Emeritus Distinguished Chair of Ethics at the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, and Emeritus Professor of Ethics and Public Policy at the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey.
He will reflect on his latest book, Law, Ethics and Emerging Military Technologies: Confronting Disruptive Technologies (reviewed here), his long and distinguished career researching, teaching and shaping the discipline of military ethics, and his very recent experiences in and around Ukraine, supporting DCAF Geneva initiatives to promote military ethics best practice.
The two sessions will be linked, with the Wednesday following up on the discussion and themes raised on Tuesday. Both sessions will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person.
