KCLEA Annual Lecture: Entrepreneurship in MedTech

This year's KCLEA Annual Lecture will given by Nitya Dintakurti (Co-Founder, Ru Medical), who creates innovative medical technology for menopause at the London Institute of Healthcare Engineering (LIHE).
She will describe Ru Medical's journey from the company's foundation in 2022 to the release of their first product, Coolzen – a smart, wearable device for menopausal women suffering from hot flushes. It works by automatically reacting to the onset of a hot flush and leveraging a natural physiological response in the human body to bring relief. Moreover, its accompanying Unpause App is designed to help women manage their menopausal symptoms and gain a better understanding of their bodies.
We will be welcomed to LIHE by Professor Prashant Jha, Head of Affordable Medical Technologies at the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences. He will outline King's work in medtech innovation, the formation of LIHE and the promotion of entrepreneurship at King's, alongside the development of the MSc MedTech Innovation Entrepreneurship course which brings together medicine, business, and engineering, which are all areas of excellence at King's.
