Join us on Friday 30 June to mark the outstanding contribution that Professor Paul Black OBE has made to science education and educational assessment over the course of his lifetime.

The speakers will include:

  • Professor Jonathan Osborne (Kamalachari Professor of Science Education at Stanford University) will talk about Paul's influence on science education.
  • Professor Dylan Wiliam (Emeritus professor of educational assessment at the UCL Institute of Education) will give an account of Paul's contribution to classroom assessment.

Part of the celebrations will be the launch of an important new book, edited by Professor Christine Harrison, Professor Constant Leung and Dr David Pepper, of the School of Education, Communication & Society at King's College London. They will say a few words celebrating Paul’s contribution internationally to innovations in pedagogy, assessment for learning and classroom practice.

A drinks reception will follow.
