Humanities Cartoons Exhibition + talk on the asylum experiences of Turkish women
The Exchange, Strand Campus, London
This event brings together research, art and discussion to explore the asylum experiences of Turkish women associated with the Gülen Movement who migrated to the UK after 2016.
The evening begins with the Humanities Cartoon Exhibition, featuring a selection of artworks reflecting themes of exile, homeland and asylum. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the exhibition while networking and enjoying refreshments.
Following the exhibition, a panel discussion will present and evaluate survey findings on asylum processes. Experts from the University of Oxford, King’s College London, and other institutions will share insights on migration policies, challenges in adapting to education and employment, and broader refugee issues.
